A French ormolu travelling alarm clock for the Japanese market

The circular dial with brass outer chapter ring with Japanese numerals with pierced steel hand, inner concentric narrow static Roman chapter ring, the matted gilt centre with central ormolu alarm disc with aperture for setting the alarm against the required Japanese character, the movement with circular gilt-brass plates with four back-pinned baluster pillars, chain fusee for the going train with verge escapement, the bridgecock in the centre of the backplate signed Thuret AParis, chain fusee for the alarm train striking on a large bell with two steel hammers, the ormolu case of drum form with an inhabited foliate cast and chased band, wound through the rear, now lacking dial bezel; with a brass-bound wood travelling case with handle to top
