The silvered dial signed Thomas Mercer St. Albans, England., with Roman chapter ring and blued steel spade hands, up-and-down sector above VI, the substantial movement with four double-screwed baluster pillars and chain fusee with maintaining power, large platform with spring detent escapement and steel helical spring to a cut bimetallic compensated balance with spherical heat compensation weights, the platform signed Mercer 1294, Made in England, 13 jewels, the case bevel front and side, solid rear panel with blued lever for balance stop/start; with original black leather travelling box
