Entitled 'Risunki odezhdy i vooruzheniia rossiiskikh voisk' by Aleksandr Vasil'evich Viskovatov, published in St. Petersburg, 1841-1862, bound in 30 volumes, comprising 29 lithographic titles, 18 lithographic portraits and 3,866 lithographic plates only. (Some leaves spotted and browned, 5 torn and expertly repaired, slight waterstains in vol.VIII, without text). Bound in dark blue morocco-backed boards by Lemardely (spines slightly scuffed), t.e.g. [Oblol'ianinov 378; Vereshchagin 11; Zaionchkovskii 1670; Colas 840 calls for 29 titles, 18 portraits and 3895 plates; not in Lipperheide]
Together with: 'Peremeny v obmundirovanii i vooruzhenii voisk rossiiskoi imperatorskoi armii. Modifications dans l'Habillement et l'Armement des troupes de l'Arme Impriale Russe dater de l'Avenement au trne de Sa Majest Impriale Alexandre Nicolaevich', published in St. Petersburg, 1857-1881, bound in 6 volumes, comprising 661 plates and 44 supplementary plates, ALL CHROMOLITHOGRAPHS heightened with touches of silver and gold, French title-pages, original upper wrapper with Russian title bound in first and last volumes and to supplement, chromolithographic dedication bound with supplement. (A few leaves slighty browned and lightly offset, four torn, 3 marginally).
