[APOLLO SPACESUIT EMBLEMS]. Apollo 7 through 17 Beta cloth crew mission emblems, all approx. 9 x 9 in. or smaller, and a Beta U.S. flag approx. 5 x 7 in. Beta cloth material was made of fiberglass with a teflon coating and provided a fire protection layer for the Apollo spacesuits. Its use began after Apollo 1 spacecraft fire. (12)
