A Set of Four Medicine Buddha Thankas
Tibet, circa 14th Century
Each threaded to a ribbon of cloth, depicting from left to right: Suvarnabhadra (ser zang), Ashokottama (nya ngan me), Dharmakirti (cho drag), and Abhijnaraja (ngon khyen), each seated on a triangular throne flanked by two monks within an arched alcove with two figures of Buddha above in circular niches, the reverse with inscriptions below each figure and sacred symbols 'Ohm a hum'
