The quality of the painting seen here and the composition are so close to those of the known signed works by this artist that the attribution seems certain. The same figures can be seen on a spectacular mirror case in the Khalili Collection signed by this artist (Khalili, Nasser D.; Robinson, B.W., and Stanley, Tim: Lacquer of the Islamic Lands, volume II, London, 1997, no.261, pp.72-3).
