Dodecagonal box, the hinged cover, sides and base enamelled in opaque light turquoise blue within gold paillon corded borders, white bands and translucent blue enamel plait borders interspersed by palmettes, the cover painted with the Muse Urania presenting a portrait miniature to a nude child, against a grey tent drapery background inscribed SOUVENIR D'AMITIÉ within a border of gold paillons
