Eleven of the twelve animals of the East Asian zodiac in various poses
and another with silver inlay, black lacquer ground; decoration in black and gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with red under-lacquering visible in places, and square gold flakes; compartments and risers gold nashiji; shoulders and rims gold lacquer

A dragon in clouds above waves which extend to the underneath of the inro
