A COPPER NANAKO SHIPPO TSUBA AND TWO OTHERS
Edo period (17th/19th century)
A rare oval copper nanako tsuba carved with bush clover, partly gilt, the foliage in blue champlevé enamels, 6.6cm.; a good iron rounded square tsuba, carved and inlaid with Tekkai Sennin with his staff, gourd and travelling bag, exhaling his spiritual essence, on the reverse Mount Fuji is depicted, seen over a stunted group of barren trees, with signature Sojuryo, 8.4cm.; and a dark copper rectangular tanto tsuba, with patches of simulated basketwork, inlaid with a silver, copper and shakudo fly in takazogan, signed Katsuryuken Masayoshi, 6cm.
