Black lacquer ground; the sides and ends gold lacquer; the front applied with gilt metal and the reverse with lead; compartments and risers black lacquer; shoulders and rims gold lacquer; gilt metal ojime with floral decoration

The front with a simple figure of Amida Buddha seated on a lotus; the reverse with the characters Kankyo in lead
