A Meissen flared teabowl and a Hausmalerei saucer
Circa 1725, Dreher's to saucer
The teabowl from the 'half-figure' service and painted with a falconer in a puce frock-coat holding a frame with six birds within a Böttger lustre, gilt scroll and iron-red foliage cartouche, the reverse and interior painted in the Kakiemon palette with a bird and flowers, the rim with gilt interlocking scrolls (chip to rim and footrim, slight rubbing to gilding); the saucer painted at Augsburg in the Auffenwerth workshop with an Oriental and a leopard among flowering shrubs within a gilt quatrefoil cartouche and elaborate gilt scroll border (some flaking to enamels) (2)
