A George III oak and mahogany cross-banded longcase clock, early 19th century
The hood with stepped top and outset fluted columns, with 3/4 length fluted pilasters flanking the wavy arch top trunk door, on stepped plinth with raised panel, the 12in. square white dial with strawberry and flower spandrels, dotted minute track marked at intervals of 5, subsidiary seconds ring and arch date aperture to the centre, with rubbed signature for W. NICKISSON NEWCASTLE, cut steel hands, with falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 77in. (196cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday 8 September and every week-day from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THIS SALE.
On the Thursday 14 September a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per furniture lot, and £9.25 per non-furniture lot; and a storage charge of £3.20 per furniture lot and £1.60 per non-furniture lot per day; will come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
Please note: All charges due to Cadogan Tate must be paid at the time of collection from their warehouse. Only payment by cash, credit card or bankers draft will be accepted.
