A four-case black lacquer ground inro
decorated in gold, aokin and silver togidashi-e, with gold and silver foil, with a party of travellers in a boat admiring cherry-blossoms floating on the surface of the river (its bank reinforced by jakago (stone filled baskets); compartments and risers gold nashiji; shoulders and rims gold lacquer -- 3¼in. (8.2cms) high, 18th Century; ojime formed from a nut inlaid in various materials with the mallet of Daikoku, the kakuregasa (hat of invisibilty) and other auspicious emblems, 19th Century; wood netsuke of a dragon inside a mikan (mandarin orange),signed Toyomasa (Naito Toyomasa, Tanba province, 1773-1856), early 19th Century.
