3 volumes, 8° inlaid to 4° (280 x 216mm). Specially-printed titles. Etched additional title, frontispiece and 41 plates by and after R.W. Buss, Hablot K. Browne, and Seymour. EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with 50 original signed watercolour drawings by Paul Braddon, and 127 plates, the majority engraved, by Thomas Onwyn and others, some in 2 states, a few coloured. (Lacking half-title.) Early 20th-century red crushed morocco gilt by Bayntun, the covers with gilt borders and foliate cornerpieces, the spines gilt in 6 compartments, titled in 2, the other compartments decorated with foliate tools, gilt edges, original blind-stamped purple cloth covers and spine laid down and bound in at the end.
