Lot Essay

A design for a circular table, published in the Magazin für Freunde eines geschmackvollen Ameublements, Zunächst für Tischler und Ebenisten, 1829, plate 40, has a virtually identical shaft and foot and was described as a 'Table made in the latest fashion'.
