With browned twist barrels signed in full on the rib and with gold fore-sight and a gold line at the rear, case-hardened patent breeches each with gold line and gold-lined touch-hole, engraved grooved tang, serial numbered case-hardened locks each with moulded border, gold-lined maker's stamp, stepped tail, safety-catch, roller, and rainproof pan, the interior with much original blued finish on the working parts, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip, raised cheek-piece, engraved iron mounts with traces of original blued finish, trigger-plate with pineapple finial, silver escutcheon engraved with the Russell crest and ducal coronet, and original brass-mounted ramrod, London proof marks
