With etched twist sighted barrels signed on the rib, scroll engraved case-hardened patent breeches each with two platinum lines and pierced platinum plug, scroll engraved tangs each extending to form an engraved blued hinged cover for three cavaties in the butt for balls and percussion caps, signed back-action locks each with three bents and engraved with characteristic scrollwork, figured walnut half-stocks each with chequered butt, engraved blued iron mounts including trigger-guards engraved with further scrollwork, silver pommels, stirrup ramrods, and much original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case (lid cracked) with accessories including three-way flask, the lid with trade label and flush-fitting carrying handle (one compartment lid missing), stocker's mark of James Pattison
