Circa 1820-30
Each piece finely enamelled and gilt with a variety of different scenes at the centre depicting Immortals with deer, on horseback and on tree-trunk rafts, other figures at leisure and at rural pursuits, on terraces, in pavilion interiors, and at a river's edge, within a band of shou characters and lotus in the well, and a broad band of exotic butterflies amongst scattered flower sprays at the border, the tureens with gilt fruit and flower finials and entwined berried strap handles, comprising:
An oval soup-tureen, cover and stand, the stand 14½ in. (37 cm.) wide
Two oval vegetable tureens, covers and liners, 12¾ in. (32.5 cm.) wide
A large oval dish, 18¾ in. (47.8 cm.) wide
An oval dish, 17¼ in. (44 cm.) wide
Another, 16 in. (40.5 cm.) wide
Another, 143/8 in. (36.5 cm.) wide
A square bowl with canted corners, 9¾ in. (25 cm.) square
Thirty plates, seven with short hairlines, three chipped, 9¾ in. (24.8 cm.) diam.
Twelve soup-plates, two chipped, 97/8 in. (25 cm.), diam.
