AN ATTIC WHITE-GROUND LEKYTHOS
Circa Mid to Late 5th Century B.C.
With two figures standing on either side of a tall acanthus plant with three sets of dark curling leaves, the red-haired woman to the left, in red outline, wearing a chiton and a dark himation pulled up over the back of her head, her head angled forward, a phiale held before her in her right hand, a vessel in her lowered left hand, the figure to the right wrapped in a red himation, a band of meander framed by thin bands above, with palmettes on the shoulders
