A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees in two directions, the meridian running through Iceland and graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with symbols, the oceans with submarine cable lines and steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distances in nautical miles, the continents with some nation states outlined in red, brown and blue, German territories outlined in red, showing towns, cities, rivers and mountains (some small areas of discolouration and abrasion) with small brass finial, raised on a short iron arm to ebonised baluster turned column and circular plinth base -- 24in. 61cm.) high
