The cariatides case with openwork floral masks overlaid on plain gilt-brass panels to the sides, with ripple and lanceolate leaf cornices and acanthus cast galleries to the base, on triangular block feet, conforming mask to the white enamel Arabic chapter disc with blue numerals, pierced gilt-metal hands, alarm disc below, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs to the backplate numbered 4942, with three position sonnerie adjustment lever to the base; with bright red velvet-covered front and top opening travel case, with cushioned interior
