The case with upper tier on three ormolu foliate scrolls with central paste-set automata, the clock flanked by further automaton paste-set trees and surmounted by an ormolu urn with automaton paste-set sphere, the white enamel Roman dial with brass spade hands and sweep centre seconds, the twin fusee movement with verge escapement and short pendulum striking on a bell on the hour and letting off the automaton features, the base on foliate scroll feet with ribbon-tied floral swags beneath the automaton re-painted farmyard scene with a procession of animals and farm labourers moving in the background against a glass-rod simulated waterfall backdrop, the entire scene within a paste-set frame, the musical movement in the base playing five tunes on ten bells; with restorations
