A pair of French ormolu-mounted parcel-gilt blue-ground porcelain vases and covers Circa 1880
Each domed lid surmounted by a pair of doves, the inside with overglazed arrows and letters C D, above a waisted neck, the bulbous body centred to the front by a cartouche depicting a scène galante, signed Poitevin, one entitled La promenade à Versailles, the other Le Printemps, the back with a château in a landscape, flanked to each side by a foliate and harp handle surmounted by a seated putto holding tassels, on a circular spreading socle, on a shaped square base with foliage and tassels, centred to each side by a foliate cartouche with the French Royal coat-of-arms
