An exhibition standard 1½in. scale model of the Allchin single cylinder, two speed four shaft general purpose traction engine No. 3251
built by R.W. Davies, with brazed copper boiler with fittings including water gauge with glass protector and shut-off cocks, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, waterlift, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder 1in. bore x 1½in. stroke, Stephenson's link reverse, displacement and mechanical lubricators, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, bolted, wedged big end, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, belt driven Pickering type governor, two roadspeeds and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include worm and roller chain steering, spoked straked wheels with brass hubcaps, spud pan, sprung front axle, damper, cable drum, cable and fairleads, water lift and suction pipe, band brake to third shaft, wooden foot board with tool box under and much other fine detailing, finished in maroon and brown with yellow lining, red, black and polished brightwork --17 x 25½in. (43.2 x 64.8cm.). Display base and glazed cover, boiler certificate dated 27.04.84, shovel, tools, bottle jack and oil can.
