A French gilt-bronze striking mantel clock, late 19th century
The arched case surmounted by a trailing leafy garland and a pineapple finial, with scroll supports to the sides and on a fluted pedestal to the breakfront base with acanthus cast and ribbon-tied laurel gallery, supported on six leaf cast toupie feet, the white enamel Arabic dial decorated with floral swags and signed Lachenal Paris, with pierced gilt metal hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strikie on bell -- 21½in. (55cm.) wide
