An early Victorian Irish mahogany library mantel timepiece, mid 19th century
The case with arched top with mouldings to the cornice (part lacking to one corner), bevelled glass panels to the sides, on stepped part bombé base raised on block feet, the square silvered dial with engraved chapter ring and foliate spandrels, signed in the centre Jameson Grafton Street DUBLIN, with steel arrow hands, the single chain fusee movement with anchor escapment, with pendulum holdfast to the backplate (lacking retaining screw) -- 8¾in. (22.5cm.) high; and a French walnut and ebonised striking mantel clock, third quarter 19th century -- 8in. (20cm.) high (2)
