A CLOISONNE ENAMEL RETICULATED 'DRAGON' VASE, HU
19TH CENTURY

The reticulated globular body cast with roundels of dragons amidst cloud-scrolls alternating with similarly designed Buddhist lions medallions, bordered with a band of lotus lappets above the splayed circular foot and inter-linked ruyi-clouds below the shoulder, all against a cloisonné-enamelled ground depicting bats in flight and surrounding shou characters, flanked on either side with a pair of metal S-shaped dragon handles on the waisted neck
