The steep sides of the washer are vertically ribbed and rise to an everted rim, lobed to correspond with the shape of a ruyi head, the top of the head carved with a bat with its wings outspread and suspending a musical stone in its mouth, all raised on five tab feet, the stone of a pale celadon tone with areas of russet inclusions
