Maker's mark ILG or IDG, town mark of Nuremberg, date letter A for 1766-1769 (Rosenberg 3772), and an assay scratch mark, also struck on crown with later 19th Century town mark of Nuremberg (Rosenberg 3769) and other Nuremberg mark
Each on slightly tapering plain stem, the bombé body with twelve lobed panels centered with two raised beaded bands (gilt in between), the two storey hexagonal belltowers with beaded corners at the sides and twelve bells (some gilt and some later), fixed in bell-shaped windows (three bells now lacking from one Rimmon), the openworked domed crown (with tracing of gilding) each with a rampant lion finial, one is holding an open book inscribed in Hebrew: "Ashrei ha-Am" (quotation out of Psalms 144:15), inside each crown further suspending gilt bell
