Rectangular semi-translucent grey-brown agate box with arched top and concave sides, opening at the centre, the two hinges at outer front and rear sides, the stamped and pierced gold cagework mounts on front and rear sides decorated with reeded c-scrolls and flower motifs, two ruby-set pushpieces, wavy reeded gold mounts, both sides opening at the hinges to reveal a rectangular centre-block with wavy sides and upper borders, applied with translucent agate panels mounted within reeded gold mounts, fitted with two-leaved tablets, a gold bodkin, a gold ear-spoon, a gold-capped pencil, a gold folding-knife with steel blade, gilt tweezers with nail file and small ear-spoon incorporated in the handle, plain gold needle case and a pair of cut glass bottles with reeded gold necks, the independent gold stoppers surmounted by colourful porcelain birds picking grapes, the wavy agate base panel resting on four gold disc feet
