A SYRIAN HAEMATITE CYLINDER SEAL
Circa 1900-1700 B.C.
With two standing figures, to the left a goddess in a long plain robe and an Egyptian wig with a Hathor headdress, standing with one hand raised high, and to the right a priest in a high oval headdress and a mantle with rolled borders standing with one hand raised, an ankh sign between them, the terminal a three-line cuneiform inscription naming the owner "Abdi-ilti, son of Ashtar-malik, servant of Hadad"
