All iron and 19th century unless otherwise stated: Broad oval, a crescent moon and a constellation in yo-sukashi [positive piercing], signed Hazama, 18th century, 2 9/16in. (6.5cm.); round, ishimeji [stone texture], bamboo and chidori [plovers] in copper takazogan [relief inlay], gilt details, 3 1/8in. (8cm.); oval, carved with silver and gilt details, 2 11/16in. (6.9cm.); round, formed as a wheel with brass hirazogan [flat inlay] covering most of the plate, Heianjo school, 17th century, 3 1/8in. (8cm.); convex oval, carved overall in low relief with paulownia leaves and tendrils, 3in. (7.7cm.); broad oval, a dragon amidst clouds, gilt details, signed Koremitsu with a kao [cursive monogram], dated 1838(?), Jakushi school, 2 7/16in. (6.2cm.); round, Tekkai Sennin in iron takazogan, gilt details, inscribed with the full Kaneie signature, 17th century, 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) (7)
