A pair of Satsuma tripod barrel shaped jars and covers

with cockerel finials, ring and tassel handles and short trefoil feet, painted and heavily gilt with shaped panels of dignitaries and ladies and children on terraces and before buildings, on grounds of floral and geometric designs and within moulded bands of similar motifs -- 15½in. (39.4cm.) high, signed, (some minor damages and restoration, some gilt and enamel rubbing.)
