A Victorian Scottish mahogany longcase clock, mid 19th century
The case with foliate cresting to the drumhead hood with top-hinged door, tapering trunk door with 'onion' mouldings to top and bottom and flanked by chamfered angles, on stepped plinth with recessed panel, the 13in. diameter white dial with Roman chapters, subsidiary seconds and date rings (hands lacking), signed H. CONNELL GLASGOW, with blued steel moon hands, pinned directly to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 82in. (208cm.) high
