A Chelsea fable-decorated flared octagonal cream-jug
Circa 1751
With pinched lip and flat scroll handle, painted by Jefferyes Hammet O'Neale with a piebald horse kicking a lion beneath a tree, the reverse with a horse fleeing from a fallen lion in a mountainous landscape, with birds in flight above, the interior with a ruined building and a distant blue mountain beside a tree surrounded by birds in flight, beneath a brown line rim (top terminal of handle lacking, minute blemish to tip of lip)
4¾ in. (12 cm.) wide
