A Siena plate Circa 1745, probably Ferdinando Maria Campani
Painted with Erato seated on a rocky outcrop with a lyre, Ovid, Mercury and Perilla standing nearby, among trees and bushes before a plain and distant mountains, within a manganese line and ochre rim (crack from rim at 1 o'clock to centre with small associated loss, slight flaking to rim)
9 7/8 in. (25.2 cm.) diam.
