A Meissen Hausmaler armorial baluster coffee-pot
Circa 1730, blue crossed swords mark, the decoration slightly later, perhaps the workshop of Metsch
Painted in Schwarzlot and gilt with an accollée coat-of-arms within a quatrefoil diaper and scale-pattern surround flanked by two birds' heads and drapery swags beneath a crown, the rims, scroll handle and spout gilt (spout chipped, section of footrim a restored replacement, rubbing to gilt rim and handle, gilding of footrim restored)
6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high
