Silvered dial signed A. Johannsen, 149 Minories, London, 2258, Roman numerals subsidary seconds and up and down dials, gold hour and minute hands, fusee movement with spotted plates, Earnshaw escapment, spring foot detent, cut bimettalic balance, cylindrical heat compensation weights, peripheral timing screws, blued steel helical balance spring, gimballed in a brass bowl, two tier mahogany brass bound box with flush handle and numerous labels from clock and compass adjusters. The box is signed with an ivory plaque marked with the maker's name and the serial number of the clock. Along with a padded mahogany guard box with part of a leather strap.
