A Palais Royal musical ring stand,
formed as a gilt metal dressing table with swivel mirror flanked by two ring-hooks and two pin-cushions on scroll supports, on enclosed base with mother-of-pearl top, side and back panels, hinged top enclosing lined compartment and hinged flap below with later glazed miniature in gilt surround, containing a replacement two-air movement, on scroll, anthemion and lions-paw feet -- 9¾in (25cm.) high, early 19th century (movement non-functional)
