Of square section of four tiers set on a recessed square foot, lacquered on the exterior in roiro-nuri with fundame rims, the interiors designed with a different plant from each season, plum, iris, bamboo and chrysanthemum, in gold and silver hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and togidashi on a roiro-nuri ground sprinkled with sparse nashiji, the underside of the lid decorated with four birds--6 x 6 x 7¾in. (15.2 x 15.2 x 19.7cm.)
