Of oval section designed as cherry trees blossoming on Mount Yoshino, the unusual lid modelled as the rolling hills, decorated with a continuous landscape in gold, black and silver takamaki-e, togidashi, rogin and kimpun, many of the petals inlaid in silver, the interiors of the compartments roiro and nashiji; the frame of the box decorated en suite with rocks and a rushing stream, the u-shaped handle roiro-nuri--box 6 3/8in. (16.3cm.) diameter, including frame 10¼in. (26cm.) high
