Set on a high ring foot and with foliate rim, decorated with a central silver-outlined roundel cast in high relief with the hero Gyoja Busho (Wu Sung) about to strike a tiger with his fist in a mountainous landscape, gilded and inlaid in gilt-metal, the roundel surrounded by ten smaller roundels also outlined in silver and inlaid in gilt-metal with cottages, temples and fishing boats on a ground of floral and geometric bands arranged in concentric rings, further inlaid in gilt-metal and silver with a band of grape vines below the rim, signed in a rectangular cartouche in inlaid silver in the recessed base--8¼in.
