MOMOYAMA PERIOD (1573-1600)
The round iron plate is pierced with a design of four double-edged ceremonial blades and a symmetrical diamond-shape scroll pattern. Both hitsu-ana have copper sekigane. The edge and rim have strong iron bones that also appear in the pierced openings--height and width 7.6cm., thickness 5mm.
