The rectangular box with rounded corners decorated in gold takamaki-e with silver lacquer details and togidashi on a roiro-nuri ground with hills, mist and a waterfall flowing into a tree bordered stream, the landscape continued on the sides of the box, the interior and underside of the lid lacquered in vari-colored gold togidashi in a pattern of stylized clouds and mist with kirigane details, the underside nashiji, silver mounted- 3 3/4 x 2 7/8 x 1 3/8 in. (8.8 x 7.2 x 3.1 cm.)
