MOMOYAMA PERIOD (CIRCA 1600)
The flat, round iron plate has a fine, radiating file-marked surface (amida yasuri). It is decorated with two swallows in stylized negative sukashi on the lower right and has a delicate raised rim and many fine iron bones in the edge. The plate retains some of its original black lacquer surface--height 7.2cm., width 7.0cm., thickness 3.25mm.
