The large, rectangular chest fitted with hinged door opening to three deep drawers, each decorated in gold hiramaki-e on a nashiji ground with a stream and waterplants, the design continued on the inside of the door, the exterior lacquered with large open and folded fans on a nashiji ground, each rendered in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e with details of silver foil and nashiji, metal mounts and metal hinges further lacquered in gold and black foliate scroll, wood storage box, drawers presently fitted with wood trays for storing sword fittings- 14 1/2 x 8 3/8 x 9 5/8 in. (36.7 x 21.3 x 23.6 cm.), cracks, wear and restoration
