The lozenge form wood box carved in high relief with the figure of a fox disguised in priest's clothing leaning over the cover of the box from the back, the feet, face and hands of the fox inlaid in ivory as is the bale of hay in the foreground, the surrounding autumn grasses lacquered in gold, lacquered on the interior- 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 x 2 3/4 in. (9.5 x 6.4 x 7 cm.), cracks
