A PAIR OF GEORGE II SILVER CANDLESTICKS
LONDON, 1718, MAKER'S MARK OF PAUL DE LAMERIE (HARE, NO. 2)

On stepped square bases with incurved corners, with central circular wells rising to knopped faceted baluster stems with octagonal shoulders and spool-form sockets, the wells engraved with a crest, marked under bases, one socket with lion's head erased, the bases with scratch weights 14=7 and 14=12 --6 1/2in. (16.5cm.) high
