The rectangular tray enamelled in wireless technique with a stand of thistles with blossoms of white, purple, pink and red and shaded green leaves set below a hazy, white moon, the ground pale grey; the underside of brown enamel inlaid with gold wire-outlined florets and scrolling gold wire stems, the rims shakudo- 11 7/8 x 9 7/8 in. (30.2 x 5 cm.), two left corners crazed
