With three-stage browned twist barrel signed and engraved with foliage on the top flat of the breech, silver fore-sight, engraved case-hardened patent breech with platinum line and plug, long engraved case-hardened tang, signed case-hardened shaped back-action lock finely engraved with stags in a landscape, finely figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip, finely engraved blued iron mounts including trigger-guard and butt-plate each decorated with game birds in a wooded landscape, silver fore-end cap and barrel-bolt escutcheons, original ramrod mounted in iron and brass, and nearly all its original finish throughout: in contemporary lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories, the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle, Birmingham proof marks
